The objective of this course is for participants to acquire experience in the managing of documents prepared in English for their professional practice.
Throughout the course participants will acquire the skills necessary to correctly interpret legal texts prepared in English, so that the legal vocabulary is no longer a barrier to the reading, understanding and use of material prepared in English.
In particular, the classes are oriented to allow participants to:
• Develop reading skills to enable the participant to work independently with any legal material in English needed for everyday work, study or research;
• Build your own vocabulary in English and encourage the use of language for effective communication in the legal field;
• Become familiar with documents in English that are often used in professional practice.
The courses are aimed at lawyers, translators, law students, translation students, and anyone who is interested in improving their legal English skills. In general, these courses consist of six weekly classes. A new Legal English Level I class begins monthly. Please contact us for more information regarding the next four levels of classes.
